JEREMY WEISEL STEPS INTO ROLE AS CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER

We are excited to welcome Jeremy Weisel as our Construction Project Manager.
Jeremy is from Southern Illinois, where he enjoys a full life as a parts and warehouse manager and as a fourth-generation farmer who farms together with his dad on a 300-acre wheat, beans, and corn farm. However, his heart has always been with people. He loves connecting with people and is someone who naturally looks for ways to use his God-given talents to serve others. His passion is now taking shape in a new way through Disciples’ Village. Whether he’s on a mission trip or working behind the scenes, Jeremy shows up ready to do whatever is needed. Sometimes, that’s boots on the ground (or on the roof!), other times it’s coordinating projects, restocking supplies, or keeping things organized so others can do their work well. He leads quietly, by example.
His faith journey has deeply shaped who he is. His life was transformed when Pastor Rob Mathis led him to the Lord, and since then, they’ve been serving together at Oak Grove Baptist Church, where Jeremy serves as chairman of the deacons.
He married Rhonda in 1998, and together they’ve spent years investing in others and walking alongside people through all seasons of life. The first project they worked on together was to build safe homes for girls rescued from trafficking. His first trip to Haiti was more than 10 years ago, and it left a lasting mark. Since then, mission trips, especially those focused on disaster relief and building homes for disadvantaged people in the US, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic, have become an important part of his life and calling. Jeremy’s heart is to love people well and serve faithfully, wherever God calls him.
From Jeremy: “I want others to see God’s love lived out through me by ministering, sharing God’s love, making disciples, and building relationships with others.”
“Adding Jeremy to the team is a real blessing. He leads by example, serves without hesitation, and brings both practical skill and a genuine heart for people. I’m looking forward to what God will do through him.”
-Bill Howard, Founder
“Disciples’ Village is blessed to have Jeremy step into the role of Construction Project Manager. I have had the pleasure of serving with Jeremy on numerous mission trips. His construction skills are surpassed only by his love of serving God through serving others.’
-Karen Bradshaw, Administrator
