Mayard Village School
Mayard is a rural mountain village 50 miles north of Port au Prince, Haiti. The village is home to roughly one hundred Haitian families. Mayard Church and School are led by Pastor Leclerc, a young man who is passionate about the Lord and serving his village. Pastor Leclerc was raised by Voodoo priests, until by God’s grace he broke away from the darkness and started following Jesus. He built this church right next door to the Voodoo temple and is shining the Light of Jesus throughout the Mayard village. The church building is school to 75 children during the week and approximately 200 children and adult worshiping on Sunday.
This program allows you to make a consistent, measurable difference in the lives of struggling children in the village of Mayard in Haiti. Cost is a little more than a dollar per day —$40 per month – to sponsor a village school, giving the children there a meal each day and the opportunity for an education that most would never have.
