The Goodness of God – Announcing our Pastors' Training Institute
We are so pleased to announce the launch of the Pastor’s Training Institute, founded and led by Pastor Rob Mathis. Since 1998, Pastor Rob has served as the pastor of the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Pinckneyville, Illinois, and has been active in Disciples’ Village for many years.
The Pastor’s Training Institute will consist of six three-day seminars, spread over a three-year period. It will also include monthly video conferences for training and accountability. Each seminar is biblically-based, gospel-centered, and obedience-oriented. Each pastor will receive a Thompson Chain Bible in their own language. This provides pastors with both biblical training and a practical tool for theology and sermon preparation. Pastors will earn a certificate for each seminar and a diploma upon completion of all six seminars.
This training will equip our Haitian and Dominican Pastors to be effective proclaimers and equippers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. To make this possible, we need to raise $8,000 as seed money to launch this vital training mission.
