Thank you, Journey Community Church in Evans, GA, and North Point Community Church in Columbia, SC, for sharing the love of Jesus by providing new roofs for two families and sharing the Gospel with the children of Sabaneta de Yásica through Vacation Bible School.

Your kindness, talents, and faithfulness are making a lasting impact in the lives of the families and children we serve. We are so grateful for the way you served with joy and compassion.

We spent another marvelous week serving the Lord in the Dominican Republic.  Thank you to Village Church and Milestones Church from South Carolina for blessing those in need through your dedication, compassion, and willingness to serve.

Together, we were able to replace the roof of a family’s home, share the love of Christ with children through Vacation Bible School, and encourage many families in the communities we serve.

Thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus. Your willingness to serve is making a difference in the lives of others and helping us share the hope of Christ.

May God continue to bless each of you as you faithfully bless others!

Four of our students from Alex’s House—Wilkens, Louis Pierre, Mickey, and Renel—are building an outreach ministry to serve children in local communities. Each month, they gather with children to pray, sing, share Bible stories, and simply spend time together. They regularly serve in Haut-du-Cap and Plaine du Nord, bringing attention, care, and hope to children who need to know they are seen and loved.

For their May outreach, they celebrated Haitian Flag Day with the children in the community. Wilkens opened the event with songs and prayer, followed by Mickey, who explained what the Haitian flag represents and why May 18 is an important day in Haitian history.  The children had many questions and were excited to receive small Haitian flags from Renel, while Louis Pierre captured the special day through photographs.

Through this simple gathering, these four young men reminded the children that God loves them and that they are part of a rich history they can be proud of. What began as a monthly outreach is becoming a meaningful way for these young men to share the love of Christ and invest in the next generation.

During our mission trip to the Dominican Republic last week, I had the privilege of teaching 27 local pastors in the first of a six-part pastoral training series.

Each evening, these pastors faithfully gathered to study The Message and the Messenger. Even on nights when the electricity went out, they continued learning by the light of their cell phones—a powerful testimony to their hunger for God’s Word and their commitment to faithfully serving their churches.

At the conclusion of the week, each pastor received a Thompson Chain-Reference Bible and a Certificate of Completion. These resources provide not only recognition for their hard work but also practical tools for biblical study, theology, and sermon preparation. Through this ongoing training, we are equipping Haitian and Dominican pastors to faithfully proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ and shepherd their congregations with confidence and biblical truth.

A special thank you to Jefferson, our interpreter, whose outstanding work throughout the week made this training possible. His faithful service and clear communication were an incredible blessing to both the pastors and our teaching team.
